A number of the Ballet Associates classes are accompanied by a classical pianist, giving you the rare and valuable opportunity to work with a live musician, greatly enhancing your musicality.

The classes take place in well equipped studios at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds (Friday nights) and Dance Studio Leeds (Wednesday nights).

With fully sprung floors, ballet barres and floor to ceiling mirrors, the spacious studios are perfect for travelling and allegro exercises.

Both venues have free on site parking and a comfortable waiting area for parents with free wifi. Parents are also invited in to watch classes throughout the year.

The Programme of non-syllabus ballet classes is designed by qualified teachers and ex-professional ballet dancers.

Each lesson allows time for you to explore different learning and teaching styles. This will help you to develop your skills in picking up choreography for unset work, an excellent asset for your exams, auditions, festivals and performances.

The Ballet Associates Programme will give you an enriched learning experience that complements your existing syllabus work. Every student receives written feedback from the Ballet Associates Principal once per term, enabling you and your local dance school teacher to monitor your progress.

A number of informal showings throughout the year take place for parents and teachers, giving students the opportunity to further develop their performance skills and allowing parents to see the progression through the Programme.

Places are strictly limited and a number of the classes often have waiting lists so we do recommend that you apply for the Ballet Associates Programme in Leeds today.
